This past summer I had to have surgery. It was a normal day when all of a sudden I had tremendous abdominal pain. My mom took me to the doctor and he sent me to the hospital for some tests. Not knowing that I was going to be rushed in to emergency surgery a few hours later, I was pretty casual and just wanted to go home. When I went into the OR I was relaxed and just wanted the pain to go away. After the surgery I was in recovery and asked for my mom. The nurse told me that I could not see my mom, but soon they would be taking me to my room. Within two weeks I could walk and school had started again. This experience has changed my life in many ways. I now look at life in a different way and do not rtake the simple things in life for granted. the simple fact of being pain-free or having good health is taken granted by too many people. Also, I have now decided that I am going to be a pediatric surgeon. These are just a few ways a night in the hospital has impacted my life. Mrs. Brown I am going to comment on Maggie Mercer's blog and Ana's blog!!!
